Human Skeleton Model, Parts and Functions

The human skeleton model is used to study the structure and function of the bones; it is also used to study the aspects of the human skeletal system. It is the essential part of the training in human biology, medicine and knowledge associated with the human health science. This model is usually used to explain several aspects, including the function of the part and type of the bone, the function of the skeletal system and the bone’s structure. These three aspects should be explained simultaneously because each section is connected each other.

By using the anatomical skeleton model, the function of the skeletal system or the bones can be explained clearly. The general function of the skeleton includes for the support, protection, assist the movement, storage of the minerals, production of blood cells and storage of the energy as chemicals. Skeleton is the main framework of the body, it supports the body to stand and support the softer tissue. It provides most of points for attachment for the most of muscle. Skeleton also provides mechanical protection, especially for the body’s organs. It reduces the risk of injury. The simple example such as, the cranial bones protect the brain, the spinal cord protected by the vertebrae; the ribcage protects the heart and lungs and so on.

You can also see from the anatomical models and skeletons that the skeleton along with the muscle are the core organs for movement. The skeletal muscles are attached to the bones, and those systems make the whole body able to move. On the other word, bones with the muscle that attaches on the bone play a vital role on human body’s movement. Bones also act as the storage system for several minerals, such as calcium and phosphorus.
